Union Knights (La Porte City, IA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting South Tama County Trojans (Tama, IA), 42-6 in a non-league test.

The Knights now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oelwein for a non-league test on Friday, September 12. Union will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 59-6 non-league loss to Waukon (Waukon, IA). The Huskies record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, South Tama County drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Louisa-Muscatine (Letts, IA) to meet the Falcons in a non-league test on Friday, September 12. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 0-2. Louisa-Muscatine lost 48-0 in their recent non-league test against Danville (Danville, IA)
