Illinois High School Football - St. Edward nudges Walther Christian Academy

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting St. Edward Green Wave football squad scored a close 16-13 victory over the Walther Christian Academy Broncos.

The Green Wave (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Aurora Christian (Aurora, IL). The Eagles enter the Chicagoland Christian battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Aurora Christian nudged Crane Medical (Chicago, IL), 51-0, in a non-league battle.

The Broncos now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Aurora Central Catholic for a Freelance battle on Saturday, September 13. Walther Christian Academy will play a Chargers team coming off a 26-20 non-league win over Christ the King (Chicago, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 2-0.
