In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Palo Verde Panthers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Coronado Cougars.

The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Shadow Ridge (Las Vegas, NV). The Mustangs go into the test with a 4-1 record.

The Cougars now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Foothill for a non-league test on Saturday, September 6.
