The Elk Grove Thundering Herd football team scored 38 points and restricted the visiting Golden Valley Cougars to 0 in the Thundering Herd non-league win on Friday.

In their next game, the Thundering Herd face the Franklin Wildcats (Elk Grove, CA) in a challenge, on Friday, September 19. Elk Grove will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record.

The Cougars (0-3) will now prepare for their test against Pitman (Turlock, CA). The Pride come into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Pitman was overwhelmed by Hughson (Hughson, CA), 24-0, in a non-league test.
