Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Upper Darby Royals (Drexel Hill, PA) and the visiting Interboro Buccaneers (Prospect Park, PA), saw Upper Darby's soccer squad triumph over Interboro by a count of 8-1.

The Royals (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Marple Newtown (Newtown Square, PA). The Fightin' Tigers enter the Central battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Marple Newtown was overwhelmed by Garnet Valley (Glen Mills, PA), 1-0, in a league match.

The Buccaneers now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Cardinal O'Hara for a non-league match on Monday, September 8. Interboro will meet a Lions team coming off a 6-0 league loss to La Salle College (Wyndmoor, PA). The Lions record now stands at 0-4.
