The Oxford Wolverines soccer squad scored 1 points and held the visiting Kennedy Eagles to 0 in the Wolverines league victory on Friday.

The Wolverines now hold a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holy Cross for a Naugatuck Valley contest on Monday, September 8. Oxford will face a Crusaders team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Ansonia (Ansonia, CT). The Crusaders record now stands at 1-2.

The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Torrington (Torrington, CT). The Raiders go into the Naugatuck Valley challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Torrington was nudged by St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT), 5-1, in a league challenge.
