Virginia High School Soccer - New Covenant knocks off Roanoke Valley Christian

In Friday's non-league outing, the host New Covenant Gryphons soccer squad scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Roanoke Valley Christian EAGLES.
The Gryphons (3-0) will now prepare for their test against Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 6-0 record. In their last test, Westover Christian Academy edged Timberlake Christian (Forest, VA), 1-0, in a league test.
The EAGLES now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Dayspring Christian Academy for a VACA test on Monday, September 8. Roanoke Valley Christian will clash with a Lions team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA). The Lions record now stands at 2-2.
