Texas High School Volleyball - Everman can't get by Mesquite

The Mesquite Skeeters held off the host Everman Bulldogs volleyball team by a margin of 3-2 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Skeeters now possess a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Waxahachie for a 6A Region II District 11 outing on Tuesday, September 9. Mesquite will play a Indians team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Midlothian (Midlothian, TX). The Indians record now stands at 18-11.

With the loss, Everman drops to 7-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Burleson (Burleson, TX) to play the Elks in a 5A Region I District 8 game on Tuesday, September 9. The Elks enter the game with a record of 7-14. Burleson won 3-2 in their recent non-league game against Lamar (Arlington, TX)
