Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Hersey Huskies (Arlington Heights, IL) and the visiting Palatine Pirates (Palatine, IL), observed Hersey's volleyball team top Palatine by a count of 2-0.

The Huskies (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pius XI Catholic (Milwaukee, WI). The Popes enter the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Pius XI Catholic notched a victory over Greendale (Greendale, WI), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Pirates now own a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maine South for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. Palatine will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Metamora (Metamora, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 4-3.
