Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Hill Falcons (San Jose, CA) and the visiting Independence 76ers (San Jose, CA), observed Hill's volleyball team top Independence by a count of 3-1.

The Falcons (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against South San Francisco (South San Francisco, CA). The Warriors go into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, South San Francisco was defeated by Yerba Buena (San Jose, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

The 76ers now own a 0-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Overfelt for a BVAL - West Valley battle on Monday, September 8. Independence will encounter a Royals squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Hill (San Jose, CA). The Royals record now stands at 1-2.
