The Newburyport Clippers prevailed the host Marblehead Magicians volleyball squad by a final score of 3-1 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Clippers now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Essex Tech for a outing on Monday, September 8. Newburyport will clash with a Hawks team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Lynnfield (Lynnfield, MA). The Hawks record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Marblehead drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Magicians travel to Ipswich (Ipswich, MA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 9.
