In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Monroe Vikings volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences Vipers.

The Vikings (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Verdugo Hills (Tujunga, CA). The Dons enter the East Valley challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Verdugo Hills was beaten by North Hollywood (North Hollywood, CA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Vipers meet the Vaughn White Tigers (San Fernando, CA) in a Valley challenge, on Wednesday, September 10. Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The White Tigers go into the test with a 2-2 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Reseda (Reseda, CA).
