The Warren Bears (Downey, CA) volleyball held off the host Schurr Spartans (Montebello, CA), 2-1 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Bears now hold a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Troy for a non-league match on Friday, September 5. Warren will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Whittier Christian (La Habra, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-3.
The Spartans (2-10) will now prepare for their match against Diamond Bar (Diamond Bar, CA). The Brahmas enter the non-league match with a 11-2 record. In their last match, Diamond Bar held off Northview (Covina, CA), 3-1, in a non-league match.
