Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs face the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 8. Burns will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Mountaineers enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC).

The Chargers now have a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they host Cherryville for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 7. Crest will face a Ironmen team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 3-2.
