Pius X Thunderbolts (Lincoln, NE) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Columbus Discoverers (Columbus, NE), 10-4 in a league challenge.

The Thunderbolts now sport a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln Northeast for a A District challenge on Tuesday, September 6. Pius X will face a Rockets squad coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to Kearney (Kearney, NE). The Rockets record now stands at 1-11.

With the loss, Columbus falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Discoverers host Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE) to play the Spartans in a A District contest on Thursday, September 8. The Spartans come into the contest with a record of 12-3. Lincoln East won 15-7 in their recent league contest against Kearney (Kearney, NE)
