The Northwest Vikings routed the visiting Waverly Vikings softball squad by a count of 7-0 in Tuesday's non-league battle.
The Vikings (10-2) will now prepare for their battle against Grand Island Central Catholic (Grand Island, NE). The Crusaders go into the B District 8 battle with a 8-7 record. In their last battle, Grand Island Central Catholic nudged Holdrege-Adams Central (Holdrege, NE), 11-3, in a non-league battle.
The Vikings now sport a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Elkhorn North for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 8. Waverly will meet a squad coming off a 15-4 non-league loss to Norris (Firth, NE). The record now stands at 6-6.
