The Shiner Comanches volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Nixon-Smiley Mustangs to 0 in the Comanches non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Comanches now have a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stockdale for a non-league game on Friday, September 9. Shiner will meet a Brahmas team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Randolph (Universal City, TX). The Brahmas record now stands at 7-11.

The Mustangs (6-8) will now prepare for their game against Marion (Marion, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 3A Region IV District 26 game with a 5-10 record. In their last game, Marion dropped by New Braunfels Christian Academy (New Braunfels, TX), 3-0, in a non-league game.
