California High School Volleyball - Charter Oak can't hold off St. Lucy's

In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting St. Lucy's Regents volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Charter Oak Chargers.
The Regents (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Upland (Upland, CA). The Highlanders/Scots come into the battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Upland was edged by Los Osos (Rancho Cucamonga, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Chargers encounter the West Covina Bulldogs (West Covina, CA) in a battle, on Monday, September 25. Charter Oak will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record.
Match Summary
The JV Regents brought home their first win of the season at Charter Oak today. After missing 8 serves in the first set which kept the game tighter than it needed to be, the Regents answered and defeated the Chargers, 25-11 to push a 3rd and deciding set. The Regents were strong from the 1st whistle and even after a late run by the Chargers, the Regents came out on top 15-8.
