The Cary Academy Chargers (Cary, NC) volleyball overcame the host NCSSM: Durham Unicorns (Durham, NC), 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

With the win, Cary Academy upgrades its record to 4-7 on the year. The Chargers host St. Mary's (Raleigh, NC) to face the in a NCISAA Triangle Independent outing on Tuesday, September 12. The go into the outing with a record of 4-0. St. Mary's won 3-2 in their recent league outing against Durham Academy (Durham, NC)

The Unicorns now own a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin Academy for a Super Six 1A/2A outing on Thursday, September 7. NCSSM: Durham will face a Patriots squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Raleigh Charter (Raleigh, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 4-5.
