The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) and the visiting Dwight Trojans (Dwight, IL), saw Lexington's volleyball squad beat Dwight by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Lexington upgrades its record to 6-4 on the year. The Minutemen host El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL) to play the Titans in a Heart of Illinois bout on Thursday, September 7. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 7-1. El Paso-Gridley won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Ridgeview (Colfax, IL)

The Trojans now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Seneca for a Tri-County bout on Thursday, September 7. Dwight will play a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Midland (Varna, IL). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 5-3.
