The Lake Region Lakers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Gardiner Tigers to 2 in the Lakers league victory on Wednesday.

The Lakers now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brewer for a Class B game on Saturday, September 9. Lake Region will meet a Witches team coming off a 3-1 league win over Nokomis (Newport, ME). The Witches record now stands at 1-1.

The Tigers (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Brunswick (Brunswick, ME). The Dragons enter the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Brunswick was nudged by Messalonskee (Oakland, ME), 3-0, in a non-league game.
