The Miramonte Matadors held off the host St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Matadors now have a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Benicia for a Diablo-Foothill test on Tuesday, September 12. Miramonte will confront a Panthers team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Acalanes (Lafayette, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-4.

The Pilots (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Piedmont (Piedmont, CA). The Highlanders enter the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Piedmont was nudged by Lick-Wilmerding (San Francisco, CA), 3-0, in a non-league test.
