Washington High School Football - Lakewood falls to Archbishop Murphy

September 6, 2024: Arlington, WA 98223

The Archbishop Murphy Wildcats felled the host Lakewood Cougars football team by a score of 48-24 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Burlington-Edison Tigers (Burlington, WA) in a 2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Friday, September 13. Archbishop Murphy will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Tigers go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 30-10 league loss to Squalicum (Bellingham, WA).

The Cougars (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bellingham (Bellingham, WA). The Bayhawks go into the 2A/3A Northwest challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Bellingham lost by Chief Sealth (Seattle, WA), 10-7, in a non-league challenge.
