The Orono Spartans walloped the host Big Lake Hornets football team by a score of 54-12 in Friday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Spartans face the Blake/Hope Academy/Minnehaha Academy/St. Paul Academy-Summit Wolfpack (Minneapolis, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 13. Orono will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Wolfpack go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 28-13 non-league loss to South St. Paul (South St. Paul, MN).
The Hornets (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Mound-Westonka (Mound, MN). The White Hawks go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Mound-Westonka bounced Spectrum (Elk River, MN), 42-0, in a non-league challenge.
