The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Bronte Longhorns (Bronte, TX) and the host Rule Bobcats (Rule, TX), witnessed Bronte's football squad knock off Rule by a tally of 28-18.

The Longhorns (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Veribest (Veribest, TX). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Veribest gained a win over Santa Anna (Santa Anna, TX), 78-0, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Bobcats battle the Rotan Yellowhammers (Rotan, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 13. Rule will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Yellowhammers enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 44-26 non-league loss to Patton Springs (Afton, TX).
