The Whitewright Tigers football squad scored 51 points and limited the visiting Celeste Blue Devils to 7 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Boles for a non-league test on Friday, September 13. Whitewright will meet a Hornets squad coming off a 30-24 non-league win over Clarksville (Clarksville, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Celeste drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Wolfe City (Wolfe City, TX) to meet the Wolves in a non-league test on Friday, September 13. The Wolves come into the test with a record of 1-0. Wolfe City won 29-13 in their recent non-league test against Quitman (Quitman, TX)
