The Lake City Trojans felled the visiting Evart Wildcats football team by a score of 38-27 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Pine River Area Bucks (Leroy, MI) in a Highland challenge, on Friday, September 13. Lake City will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Bucks go into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 44-27 league loss to Houghton Lake (Houghton Lake, MI).

The Wildcats (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Roscommon (Roscommon, MI). The Bucks go into the Highland challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Roscommon lost by Beal City (Mt. Pleasant, MI), 42-0, in a league challenge.
