The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Peaster Greyhounds (Peaster, TX) and the visiting Ferris Yellowjackets (Ferris, TX), witnessed Peaster's football squad knock off Ferris by a tally of 41-17.

The Greyhounds (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Jacksboro (Jacksboro, TX). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Jacksboro gained a win over Boyd (Boyd, TX), 67-22, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets battle the Teague Lions (Teague, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 13. Ferris will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 23-21 non-league loss to Tolar (Tolar, TX).
