Shadle Park Highlanders (Spokane, WA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Ferris Saxons (Spokane, WA), 54-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Shadle Park advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Highlanders travel to Mt. Spokane (Mead, WA) to play the Wildcats in a 2A/3A/4A Greater Spokane battle on Thursday, September 12. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Mt. Spokane lost 33-0 in their recent league battle against Central Valley (Spokane Valley, WA)

The Saxons now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Gonzaga Prep for a 2A/3A/4A Greater Spokane battle on Friday, September 13. Ferris will play a Bullpups team coming off a 48-21 league win over Ridgeline (Liberty Lake, WA). The Bullpups record now stands at 1-0.
