The Blue Devils now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Abingdon for a Mountain test on Friday, September 13. Gate City will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 31-28 non-league win over Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Middlesboro drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league test on Friday, September 13. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 0-3. Shelby Valley lost 40-28 in their recent non-league test against Martin County (Inez, KY)
