In Friday's non-league match, the host York Falcons football squad scored a good 21-6 triumph over the Gloucester Dukes.
The Falcons (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Warhill (Williamsburg, VA). The Lions come into the Bay Rivers match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Warhill was beaten by Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA), 35-0, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Dukes confront the Hampton Crabbers (Hampton, VA) in a Peninsula match, on Friday, September 13. Gloucester will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Crabbers come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 41-33 non-league loss to King George (King George, VA).
