In their next game, the Comets face the East Lansing Trojans (East Lansing, MI) in a Capital Area - Blue challenge, on Friday, September 13. Grand Ledge will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Trojans go into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 14-12 non-league loss to Hudsonville (Hudsonville, MI).

The Spartans (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Central (Battle Creek, MI). The Bearcats go into the Southwestern Michigan - East challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Central lost by Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI), 47-0, in a non-league challenge.
