The Roanoke Catholic Celtics were victorious over the visiting Isle of Wight Academy Chargers football team by a score of 40-26 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Celtics face the Catholic Crusaders (Virginia Beach, VA) in a VISAA Freelance challenge, on Friday, September 13. Roanoke Catholic will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 48-0 non-league loss to Atlantic Shores Christian (Chesapeake, VA).
The Chargers (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Fredericksburg Christian (Fredericksburg, VA). The Eagles enter the VISAA Freelance challenge with a 2-0 record. In their last challenge, Fredericksburg Christian ran past St. Anne's-Belfield (Charlottesville, VA), 35-14, in a league challenge.
