Virginia High School Football - Yorktown over Jackson-Reed

September 6, 2024: Arlington, VA 22207

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA) and the visiting Jackson-Reed Tigers (Washington, DC), witnessed Yorktown's football squad knock off Jackson-Reed by a tally of 28-13.

The Patriots (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Wakefield (Arlington, VA). The Warriors enter the District 2 contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Wakefield gained a win over Anacostia (Washington, DC), 39-12, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Tigers battle the St. Albans Bulldogs (Washington, DC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 14. Jackson-Reed will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 2-0 record after their 44-34 non-league win over Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA).
