Illinois High School Football - Metro-East Lutheran loses to St. Thomas More

September 6, 2024: Edwardsville, IL 62025

St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Metro-East Lutheran Knights (Edwardsville, IL), 36-20 in a non-league battle.

With the win, St. Thomas More advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Sabers travel to St. Anne (St. Anne, IL) to play the Cardinals in a 8-Man East (8 Man) battle on Thursday, September 12. The Cardinals go into the battle with a record of 0-1.

The Knights now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Martinsville for a 8-Man South (8 Man) battle on Saturday, September 14.
