Maine High School Football - Portland defeats Oxford Hills/Buckfield

September 6, 2024: South Paris, ME 04281

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Portland Bulldogs (Portland, ME) and the host Oxford Hills/Buckfield (South Paris, ME), witnessed Portland's football squad topple Oxford Hills/Buckfield by a count of 40-20.

The Bulldogs (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Windham (Windham, ME). The Eagles enter the A North contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Windham was outscored by Noble (North Berwick, ME), 28-14, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the confront the Bonny Eagle Scots (Standish, ME) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 13. Oxford Hills/Buckfield will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Scots enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 27-18 non-league loss to Lewiston (Lewiston, ME).
