The Pickens County Tornadoes walloped the visiting Sumiton Christian Eagles football team by a score of 50-14 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Tornadoes face the Lynn Bears (Lynn, AL) in a 1A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, September 13. Pickens County will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Bears go into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 34-20 league win over Brilliant (Brilliant, AL).
The Eagles (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Brilliant (Brilliant, AL). The Tigers go into the 1A Region 5 challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Brilliant was ripped by Lynn (Lynn, AL), 34-20, in a league challenge.
