North Carolina High School Football - Triton can't hold off Sanderson

September 6, 2024: Raleigh, NC 27609

The Sanderson Spartans got by the visiting Triton Hawks football team by a score of 14-12 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans play the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves (Hillsborough, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 13. Sanderson will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Fighting Red Wolves go into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 55-0 non-league loss to American Leadership Academy-Johnston (Clayton, NC).

The Hawks (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC). The Golden Bulls go into the 3A/4A All-American challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, E.E. Smith was edged by West Carteret (Morehead City, NC), 21-14, in a non-league challenge.
