Oregon High School Football - Thurston triumphant over South Eugene

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Thurston Colts (Springfield, OR) and the host South Eugene Axe (Eugene, OR), witnessed Thurston's football squad wallop South Eugene by a tally of 53-0.

The Colts (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR). The Eagles enter the 5A Special District 4 contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Eagle Point was trounced by Crater (Central Point, OR), 49-14, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Axe battle the North Eugene Highlanders (Eugene, OR) in a 5A Special District 4 contest, on Friday, September 13. South Eugene will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Highlanders enter the contest with a 0-2 record after their 28-0 league loss to Willamette (Eugene, OR).
