Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Peru Nighthawks (Peru, NY) and the host Chazy Eagles (Chazy, NY), saw Peru's soccer squad hold off Chazy by a count of 1-0.

The Nighthawks (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). The Hornets enter the Northern battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, Plattsburgh tipped Amsterdam (Amsterdam, NY), 9-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Eagles battle the Boquet Valley Griffins (Elizabethtown, NY) in a Northern battle, on Wednesday, September 11. Chazy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Griffins enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Willsboro Central (Willsboro, NY).
