Fans at Friday's league battle between the Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME) and the visiting Mount Abram Roadrunners (Strong, ME), saw Maranacook's soccer squad knock off Mount Abram by a count of 3-0.

The Black Bears (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME). The Greyhounds enter the Class C - South battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Lisbon by Winthrop (Winthrop, ME), 7-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Roadrunners battle the Mountain Valley Falcons (Rumford, ME) in a Class C - South battle, on Wednesday, September 11. Mount Abram will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
