Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT) boosters exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Kennedy Eagles (Waterbury, CT), 8-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Naugatuck moves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Newtown (Newtown, CT) to clash with the Nighthawks in a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. The Nighthawks come into the test with a record of 1-0. Newtown won 3-2 in their recent league test against Pomperaug (Southbury, CT)

The Eagles now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Holy Cross for a Naugatuck Valley test on Monday, September 9.
