In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Elgin Huskies volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Perrydale Pirates.

The Huskies (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Wallowa (Wallowa, OR). The Cougars come into the 1A Old Oregon challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Wallowa was beaten by Prairie City (Prairie City, OR), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Falls City/Kings Valley Charter Mountaineers (Falls City, OR) in a 1A Casco challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Perrydale will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Southwest Christian (Beaverton, OR).
