Texas High School Volleyball - Fort Bend Elkins over Sweeny

Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Fort Bend Elkins Knights (Missouri City, TX) and the host Sweeny Bulldogs (Sweeny, TX), observed Fort Bend Elkins's volleyball team top Sweeny by a count of 3-1.

The Knights (8-16) will now prepare for their contest against Almeta Crawford (Rosharon, TX). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 10-10 record.

Next, the Bulldogs battle the Bay City Blackcats (Bay City, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 26 contest, on Tuesday, September 10. Sweeny will attempt to move on its 19-8 season record. The Blackcats enter the contest with a 14-9 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Edna (Edna, TX).
