In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Solon Spartans volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Marshalltown Bobcats.

The Spartans (4-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Johnston (Johnston, IA). The Dragons come into the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Johnston lost by Waukee (Waukee, IA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bobcats meet the Ames Little Cyclones (Ames, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Marshalltown will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record.
