The Musselman Applemen topped the host Russell Red Devils volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Friday's non-league game.

Next up, the Applemen confront the Knott County Central Patriots (Hindman, KY) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 7. Musselman will attempt to advance on its 11-7 season record. The Patriots go into the game with a 6-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Jenkins (Jenkins, KY).

The Red Devils (4-5) will now prepare for their game against Collinwood (Collinwood, TN). The Trojans go into the non-league game with a 6-4 record. In their last game, Collinwood gained a win over Perry County (Linden, TN), 3-0, in a league game.
