Pennsylvania High School Football - Allentown Central Catholic thwarted by Freedom

September 6, 2025: Allentown, PA 18102

Freedom Patriots (Bethlehem, PA) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football squad thwart the host Allentown Central Catholic Vikings (Allentown, PA), 38-27 in a non-league match.

The Patriots (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Nazareth Area (Nazareth, PA). The Blue Eagles come into the Eastern Pennsylvania - Northampton match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Nazareth Area defeated Wilson (West Lawn, PA), 30-20, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Vikings play the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals (Swiftwater, PA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 12. Allentown Central Catholic will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Cardinals go into the battle with a 3-0 record after their 45-0 non-league win over Scranton (Scranton, PA).
