In Saturday's non-league match, the host Glen Ridge Ridgers football team scored a nice 27-14 win over the Whippany Park Wildcats.

With the win, Glen Ridge improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Ridgers host Newark Central (Newark, NJ) to play the Blue Devils in a Super - National Red battle on Saturday, September 13. The Blue Devils go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Newark Central won 28-8 in their recent non-league battle against Snyder (Jersey City, NJ)
