Texas High School Football - MacArthur can't hold off Holmes

September 6, 2025: San Antonio, TX 78238

Holmes Huskies (San Antonio, TX) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team tip the visiting MacArthur Brahmas (San Antonio, TX), 20-13 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Holmes improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Huskies travel to Stevens (San Antonio, TX) to play the Falcons in a 6A Region IV District 28 battle on Friday, September 12. The Falcons go into the battle with a record of 0-2. Stevens lost 47-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Clark (San Antonio, TX)

The Brahmas (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX). The Patriots go into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Veterans Memorial nipped Burbank (San Antonio, TX), 51-20, in a non-league challenge.
