The McQuaid Jesuit Knights football team (Rochester, NY), was crushed 53-7 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY)
The Goldbacks (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY). The Dragons enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Cornwall Central crushed Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (Burnt Hills, NY), 10-3, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Knights confront the Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets (Henrietta, NY) in a Section 5 AA bout, on Friday, September 12. McQuaid Jesuit will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Royal Comets go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 52-7 non-league win over Elmira/Southside (Elmira, NY).
